Coming off a successful show at Cornelia Street Cafe earlier this month, with special guest tenor saxophonist Rich Perry, the Dan Rufolo Trio continues to perform original compositions new and old, with a bold urgency that is difficult to ignore. Since the group's inception almost a year ago, the bond among this trio is stronger than ever. This is evidenced on several new compositions by pianist Dan Rufolo, and bassist Bill Thoman that will also be featured at the Madison based club Shanghai Jazz on June 22nd.
