"May, Be! - - The Possibilities of Life" is the theme of Pleasantdale Church’s May Jazz Vespers. The ”May, Be!” Jazz Vespers will be held on Sunday evening, May 5th, at 7:30 PM. Jazz Vespers combines the age-old tradition of evening meditation with the unique musical language of jazz. It includes contemporary prose, poetry, sometimes even a joke or two and some truly outstanding music performed by an amazing group of internationally recognized jazz musicians.

The May Jazz Vespers will be led by Todd Shumpert. Vespers at Pleasantdale will welcome back band leader Dave Rimelis on guitar and violin, Ted Brancato on keyboard, Dave Longworth on drums, and featured musician Frank Fontaine on saxophone. Light refreshments will be offered. The May event will be the last of the series of Vespers events for the 2012-2013 Season at Pleasantdale Church. The Vespers series will resume again on Sunday, October 6th. ...

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
