Band Members

Drew Nugent-Cornet, Piano, Recorder Drew started playing violin at age 9, then began formal piano lessons with jazz pianist Joe Benedict after Drew took songs he knew from the violin and played them on the piano. He loved playing Ragtime and when the Ken Burns Jazz series came to PBS, he widen his horizons to jazz. At age 15 he took his love of Louis Armstrong and took up the trumpet and got hooked on the Roaring 20s. He imitated many great singers but at age 19 went out to try and find his own voice. He played with Garrison Keeler & on the Delta and Mississippi Queens....
