About

Jazz Jam sessions is hosted by New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Department of Community Engagement at Clement's Place, 15 Washington Place in Newark. Every third Thursday each month features Wells Fargo Jazz for Teens, 5:30-7 pm, followed immediately by a top line up of NJ jazz musicians directed by pianist and bandleader James Austin, Jr., from 7:30-9:30 pm. Admission, drinks and refreshments are complimentary thanks to Wayne Winborne, Executive Director of the Rutgers-Newark Institute of Jazz Studies. Jazz musicians and singers are welcomed to perform.
